One Lawn, 2 Zones

I have a lawn that is irrigated by 2 zones. How does Sprite determine that these zones are watering the same lawn? It wasn’t clear when setting up zones to inform that the zones are related to the same lawn. 


 Or, does it not matter, since the parameters are the same (lawn species, soil type, slope, area/2, etc.)?

Hi Matt,


Sprite cannot determine that these zones are watering the same area. We suggest the settings and parameters of two zones be the same. Is there any overlapped area between your two zones?

Hi,

Thanks for the prompt reply. Yes, the lawn area overlaps the two zones. One zone irrigates a side and upper portion, the other zone irrigates the remaining portion.

I will be adding whisperer sensors soon to at least one of those zones; will that help?

I will do as suggested and match the parameters exactly. I was mainly concerned about the overlapping zones being mismatched and not irrigating the entire lawn evenly.

Hi Matt, adding sensor will be helpful. As each zone is unique, with different plants, sunlight and soil conditions, we recommend to place one sensor in each zone for best watering results.
