The app asks me to define my soil type and gives me a small list to choose from. I'm no gardening expert by any means and so I'm not really sure I've got this right. I selected the most draining type based on nothing more that guesswork really. We're in Yucatán, México so the entire area is limestone rock, but this website (https://sites.google.com/site/soilsoftheyucatanpeninsula/soil-types) gives more detail about the soil types in Yucatán. All this has done though is confuse me more. 

Is there any reliable way that I can determine my soil type in Netro? The website says it's likely to be one (or a combination) of Gleysols, Histosols, Vertisols, Solonchaks, Leptosols, and Cambisols

I have my first period of rain coming up, so the smart schedule isn't planning on watering until Christmas Eve. Since getting the sensors working properly I've been very happy with the smart watering, but the rain predictions here tend to be a bit sketchy. As my system is saying it won't water because there is rain expected, does it automatically adjust itself and water if the predicted rain doesn't arrive?

Also, I have it set to not water if expected rain is 5mm. What is the difference in this context between expectation and forecast?

Hi- it has been raining now for two weeks and it says moisture level 100% but still watering everyday?  

I have two whisperers, one in zone 2 at the front and one in zone 4 at the back. We're in Mexico so it's ridiculously hot and sunny all the time. The unit at the back faces north west. The unit at the front faces north. Both units are now dead. Neither will reset or power up. 

I can't add my wife to the system. Her email is first name.surname@domain.co.uk but the app says "invalid email" when I try to add her.

I would love to see a leak detector we could install onto the water lines that could communicate the amount of water used and detect leaks. Like the one Rachio offers.

Replacing old Toro system,  all my wires from the zones are too thick to place into the system.  Do you have a wire gauge I can slim down the wires to make it work?

I’m wondering how many whisperer units I need to have if I my garden has 8 zones. Do I have to get 1 per zone? 

Hello I bougth my first netro sprite but i can not find the country Uruguay and i the smart not work correctly, how i can resolve this issue?

So I have zones programmed to water at certain time on certain days... If I enable smart zone feature will it override the manual programmed setting or will the programmed settings still come on plus the smart zone feature.. Or do I have to remove /delete my programmed zones n just enable smart zone?

Hello Netro, will you have a black Friday offer? 

My sprinklers are starting 1 hr past when they are programed due to daylight savings ending.

I would have assumed the clocks changed with the clock on my phone but that doesn't seem to be the case.

If your old controller has more than 12 zones, you will need to have 2 Netro controllers to replace it. Please follow the diagram below to safely wire the 2 controllers:

Now you can use the 2 C slots for the common wires and the 2 sets of 1-12 slots for the zone wires. If you do not have a master valve or pump, just ignore the orange wires.

IMPORTANT: the blue wire has to be connected to the left 24VAC on both controllers and the yellow wire has to be connected to the right 24VAC on both controllers.

New system owner. When having fall blowout performed, I found I needed to be present to run each zone. I didn’t find a way to provide access to the technician. Other systems on the market provide this function. 

I am exploring different smart watering modes. The normal mode waters the lawn too long for me but the eco mode too little. It appears that the eco mode is exactly the same as normal but the watering time is half of normal.

In my case, I would like to set up a smart mode that waters 75% of the normal. How can I configure the smart mode to do that?

What is the best way to store the whisperer for the winter.  Should in keep it exposed to sunlight via a window.  Is there a way to turn it off?

I don’t understand why smart watering is planning to water my 6 zone area in different ways if they have all the same type of soil, sprinkle head, size, and species.
