API broken?

Hi, I can get my Netro controller info using:

curl -v https://api.netrohome.com/npa/v2/info.json?key=MYAPIKEY

(where MYAPIKEY is a key from the user account page)

but when I try to update soil moisture data with:

curl -X POST -H "Accept: application/json" -H 'Content-Type:application/json' -d '{"key":"MYAPIKEY","moisture":100}' "https://api.netrohome.com/npa/v2/set_moisture.json"

I get an error about an invalid key:

Zone flexibility

I have a hill that was terraced and replanted. I was told to run the circuit twice a day for 15 minutes for a month. Drip lines. Seems like my system doesn’t have that flexibility. Am i correct?

Hi... since it's still fairly warm outside, I'd like to have the Zone water every 2 hrs for about 3 minutes just to keep the ground moisture up.

I'm not clear on how to do this?  Anyone?

Wind preference for drippers

Hey,

Is it possible to individually choose preferences for wind speed on a zone by zone basis? I've got some zones that are connected to sprayers which I would like to keep on a wind speed cutout and but most zones are on drippers which I would like to water independent of the wind speed.

App crash

The app crashea when I click on a zone on Google pixel 8a. I had to configure them with another phone. Already tried to reinstall the app and clear cache

End of Season Shut down

Hi, it’s the end of our watering season where I live, the city just shut off the water for the year. Any guidance on what to do in the app to have the system off for until spring?  

Is it a good idea to unplug it for the season or no?

Problem: Spark 16 controller stuck on "in communication"

I'm experiencing a serious issue with my Netro Spark 16 controller. It connects correctly to Wi-Fi and appears online in the app, but when I try to start irrigation manually, the app just stays on "in communication" and nothing happens.


The problemm is with the 4g Vodafone/HoMobile provider as yout mentioned in https://netrohome.com/en/forum/posts/4052


I have already asked several time the update for the device, but nobody reply me

i wrote also to Netro support email: support@netrohome.com  --> nobody reply me.


What should i do to have this update?

Total water volume restriction

I'm curious if there is a way to restrict or cap the calculated volume of water used daily for smart watering schedules. For example, my well produces about 3500 gallons a day or close to 4.5 CCF. I have a storage tank where the water is stored. Is there any logic that can be added to the smart watering calculation or scheduling to account for a daily water volume budget?

Problem: Spark 8 controller stuck on “in communication” when activating valves

Hi everyone,

my Netro Spark 8 controller connects correctly to Wi-Fi and shows as online in the app. However, when I try to start irrigation manually from the app, it just stays on “in communication” and nothing happens.


I’ve already tried:


  • Using a different Wi-Fi network (even a mobile hotspot)
  • Replacing the controller with a new Spark 8
  • Restarting both the app and the device



If I activate the valves directly from the controller, they work fine — so it’s not a hardware issue.


Any suggestions on how to solve this?

NETRO PIXIE-Z1 not watering via app or wepage

I cannot activate my PIXIE-Z1 to water, it is with brand new batteries, it says 100%, it is online and app and webpage react as all is fine and watering, but unfortunately nothing happens with the device. It works if I push twice the button on the device.


What could the issue be?

When pausing a zone for any reason during watering cycle, the zone is skipped. Is there any way to pause it then resume the watering cycle in the zone that was paused?

Whisperer low battery alert

My whisperer used outdoor gave me an alert here thru the Netro app saying it has 19% battery remaining. What does it mean? Is the solar no longer working? Is there another way to recharge it or can the rechargeable battery be replaced?

Why can’t I change my zone off whipsper

My whisper smart sensor is contacted to my garden plants zone at my holiday home. The smart schedule is not working.this is due to the fact that the sensor battery says it needs charging. Obviously I can’t charge it as I am not there. But I can’t seem to find a way of disconnecting the sensor from the program and on to smart schedule

Spark not working – won’t start valves despite all attempts

Hi everyone,


I’ve been using a Netro Spark (8-zone model) for some time, but recently it stopped working properly.

The controller connects to Wi-Fi and appears online in the app, but when I try to start any valve (manually or via schedule), it says “communicating” and nothing happens.


Here’s what I’ve already tried:


  • Restarted the Spark multiple times
  • Performed a full reset (12 seconds on RST button)
  • Re-added the device in the app
  • Tried to trigger irrigation manually from both the app and the controller
  • Confirmed that the system works when I open the valves manually from the controller
  • Tried different power supplies
  • Connected to a mobile hotspot instead of my home Wi-Fi (same result)
  • Updated the firmware to the latest version (v3.3.0)
  • Purchased a brand new Spark controller and tested it — same exact issue



At this point, it looks like the issue is not hardware or network-related.

Could it be a firmware bug or a server-side problem?


Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Issue with Netro Spark

Hello,


Since a few days my Netro is not receiving data from the different Whisperers connected and all of them are well connected to Wi Fi and charged. I am not able to run manual watering, only the planned ones go. It looks like there is an issue or with my Netro Spark or with the Netro Server. I am based in Italy. Please let me know. Thank you.

Hi Friends, on The APP I Turn on a sector manually but when I ask APP to Turn Off, dont do!

ONLY Turn off if I unplug The system .
