not watering after installation

I installed two Netro Sprites to replace the previous controllers. The installation itself went fine, and I was able to verify that the first one waters the zones fine.


However, the second one does not water any zones. All the status indicators are fine, I hear the water getting turned on, and everything but no watering. What could be wrong? The wiring seems pretty simple. One common wire, 4 zone wires, and the power. All the wires are securely in. What are the ways to troubleshoot this?

Your first Sprite should have a spot for a second common wire.  Maybe try hooking up your second set of zones to that first Sprite then plug in the rest of your sprinkler wires.  I replaced two old digital timers with 1 sprite.  Sorry but that’s my only suggestion good luck.

For clarification just plug in your second common wire and rest of your zones unless you have more than 12 zones.

Unfortunately two controllers are far apart so I can't hook up all zones to the working controller. I am going to see if I can manually open the valves and test it that way...
