Watering adjustment at specific time

Arthur
Actualizado 2020-07-30 22:20:53 UTC

hi i have watering adjustment enabled based on water level on the whisperer. But is there a way to designate time for watering adjustment? Basically it comes on randomly when it senses that more moisture is needed but can be in the middle of the day when we're using the lawn. Regular watering times are already set to only do mornings and evenings...

Thanks,

Arthur

Buongiorno a tutti,

Qualcuno può aiutarmi a capire se la centralina anche se offline e quindi non comandabile a distanza continuerà a irrigare quanto già pianificato automaticamente??

Purtroppo non posso andare prima di qualche giorno e ho paura che si secchi tutto...

grazie mille

Saluti

ifttt or .ics support

Actualizado 2020-07-20 19:01:42 UTC
I see that there is some ifttt integration but is it limited to control language and some data logging. What I would like to see is either an .ics subscription calendar or API access to post the next, scheduled water days by zone. It would have to be updated when the app updates and only needs to look out to the next scheduled watering day (start/end time would be helpful too). This would allow me to see when I need to move yard furniture, etc.

Please add to suggestion/enhancement list.

Thank you.

Notifications

It would be great if you add an option for notifications once irrigation starts/finishes.Sometimes we need to start it manually and need to wait until one zone is completed to start the next one. A notification in the phone would avoid opening the application all the time to see if the current zone is completed.

Where is a simple on and off button?

This is needed in the app. The scheduling is harder then it needs to be.

Good morning,

I ask you if in the next software update Netro the possibility of enabling and disabling the Master Valve for each zone, I explain, I have connected an Autoclave with a special 24 volt relay to the Master Valve output, there are areas where I have a system  micro-irrigation that does not need an autoclave.

thank you

Battery status

Is there a way to see the battery status (devices that use batteries) in the app home screen? It would be of great use when one is leaving the home for a few days, to make sure the device will have enough charge for those days.

I have grape vines on a drip system that’s running at .5 gph. I need to leave the system on for 3 to 4 hours. Please change the app to allow for longer watering.

Sunlights graph for the current day is always wrong

I’ve noticed what sunlight graph shows wrong value for the current day. This value is always higher than any other day but it gets corrected later.
For instance, screenshot below was done Thursday morning at 7am. I can not believe I had that much sun during the night. But tomorrow graph will show much lower value for Thursday. And that happens every day

I’m watering grape vines on a .5 gallon drip system. I need more than 60 minutes. You made it too complicated. Just create an on off button with time increments

User Guide - Manual watering with your Pixie timer

Netro Inc
Actualizado 2020-06-22 07:37:55 UTC

The Pixie timer is designed for automatic watering. However, occasionally you may still need to turn on/off the water manually. Before explaining manual watering from the app, it would be helpful to understand how the Pixie communicates with the Netro cloud server.

By default, your Pixie turns on its WiFi module once every hour to sync up with the server. The sync-up usually takes less than one minute. For the next 59 minutes the timer will be sleeping and disconnected from the WiFi until the next sync. When the timer is sleeping, it is unaware of the schedule changes, including the manual watering.

Therefore, when you start a manual run, the timer is most likely in sleep mode. It will have to wait until the next sync-up to start the watering. The waiting time will be less than 60 minutes. Take the following screenshot for example:

The current time is 5:24AM and the next sync is scheduled at 6:17AM. Therefore the waiting time is going to be 53 minutes. After you press the Start button, you can go to the Schedule page and the manual run at  6:17AM will appear on your calendar.

Define Soil Type

I see references to defining your soil type.  I have gone through the entire app multiple times and cannot find where that is defined, nor can I find it in the documentation.  There doesn’t seem to be an “owners’ manual” or “operating manual” per the support person I called (only online video help).  I cannot find where soil type is defined.

Notes section per zone

Hi,

Could we get a notes section in the zone setup so we can record extra information about the zone.  it could be wire colouring for install, notes about other setup / sprinkler install information or general notes about how that zone is performing and changes we might want to make.

Thanks

Watering metrics question

Egan
Actualizado 2020-06-03 16:09:22 UTC

I am new to gardening and traditionally, I can kill a plastic plant.  I have started a small flower bed with 3 rose plants in it.

Is there a way to read the information in the app to learn how many gallons have been given to the plants in a given period of time?

My simplistic understanding of the rose plants is they should get 3 gallons a week total.  My current moisture % in the app shows 68.  Do i need to focus on getting that and keeping it at 100%?

Thanks ahead of time for any education you offer.

Is it possible to name zones for easier identification

Chris Graham
Actualizado 2020-05-24 20:37:39 UTC

I'm evaluating whether to by a Netro and one of the things I need is to be able to name zones rather than have a zone called say "Zone 6".

I don't see any users manual on your site to answer questions like this.

Rearranging zones?

Kurt H
Actualizado 2020-05-23 19:17:20 UTC

I do enjoy my Netro, and the app makes things pretty handy.  I do have a couple of questions.

Are there any plans to allow the software to rearrange the zones in a watering cycle (or is that already available and I am just missing it?)  Right now it seems I am stuck watering in the order I have wired the controller.  It would be nice to water one zone, let that soak in while watering another zone, then come back and water a third zone that is adjacent to the first zone.

Another question I have is - is it possible to copy a schedule so that I do not have to set each of the 5 zones for every schedule.  There are times when I would like to run a one time schedule that follows my normal dry schedule,  or follows my moister schedule.
