Is there a published list online of Wunderground station IDs supported by Netro? Specifically, I'm looking for Hawk Ridge - KCOCOLOR1090

Thanks!

Need Sprite to water less often

Updated at 2022-08-24 20:24:11 UTC

I have a netro sprite.  I live in Dallas.  My lawn as drought tolerant bermuda grass.  The grass can easily get by with 10 minutes of watering once a week.  When I look at the logs I see that the sprite is watering the each zone 5 to 15 minutes a day.  I enabled water regulations which  restricted water to Wednesday and Saturday.  Even with this change, the schedule still says 14 to 18 minutes of watering for each zone on the watering days.  I do not have a whisperer

My settings :

grass type:: warm season grass

soil type: clay

sprinkler type: rotor head

shade: none or some shade

smart zone: enabled (Level=advance, mode=eco)

area = 1000 sq ft (I tried reducing this value but then the estimates under "smart zone" go to zero)

1 or 2 frames

I always read that it was better to water early in the morning than in the evening. I see Netro gives the option of 2 frames daily though.  I turned on two frames and created a lengthy frame in the morning and evening for watering. Now when Netro schedules my watering it breaks it up between the two zones - even though the morning zone is long enough to hold the entire watering schedule for any partucular day - so presumably Netro thinks it's better to do half the watering in the morning and half in the evening.  My question is "What is the best practice with Netro watering, and why does it choose to water morning and evening rather than just morning? ". I was sort of expecting it would only use the second frame if the first frame wasn't long enough - but this is not the case.

Need help adding Weather Underground station

Please add the Weather Underground stations:  KCAMENIF47 and KCAMENIF19 to the app as available weather stations.  I'm still getting the error code 'Please enter a valid station ID" when trying to utilize either of these weather stations.  Thank you.

Whisperer should correct sprite inaccuracies

Updated at 2022-08-02 10:30:54 UTC
I have areas of the lawn that are consistently brown during the summer. I bought a whisperer to tell sprite to correct itself but it doesnt seem to do that. If the soil moisture that is estimated by the Netro app is incorrect, why doesnt the whisperer update the algorithm? Example: I have tried to set the soil moisture to 80% low to 100% high.  The grass on the customers property is brown and they are not happy. When I check the app, The whisperer says that the soil moisture is 63% but the app says that the next watering is scheduled for 22 hours? It also needs to be able to keep a greatly increased watering schedule until it corrects the problem. It is getting hard to work with this.

Consistently underwatering

The app seems to work fine when there is natural rainfall and the lawns look green. When the stress of the summer arrives, the customers ALWAYS complain that there is not enough water on some zones. The boost feature is not sufficient. there needs to be a way for us to increase the amount of water that is applied without having to make a manual schedule. That would defeat the purpose of using Netro. There needs to be a way for the user to correct the algorithm. The app will say that there should be 80% soil moisture but when I use a moisture meter and take a direct reading the moisture is around 30%.

Wrong scheduling?

Hi.

I've got my Netro Sprite with 10 zones configured. All of them with the smart watering feature. And 8 of them with he ECO program. It seems that my unit is overwatering. When I check the calendar most of the zones are watered twice and if I skip some of the zones both events dissapear and the whole time is filled with more instances is the non slipped zones.

I've configured the watering time from 7:00 to 9:00 and some days it covers the whole time and others it covers from 6:00 to 9:00.

Any ideas to solve it?.

Thank you very much.

Limit irrigation duration of a specific zone, water run off issues

Kyle Giacomini
Updated at 2022-07-26 05:14:15 UTC

Hi there,

I'm currently using the smart watering feature on all my zones. However, I have a few zones with turf that are on a slope. It seems like the smart watering feature uses long duration watering sets (more than 25 minutes) that's causing unwanted runoff. Also, since I'm on a well, the longer irrigation sets really taxes my water pressure. My pressure drops after 13 minutes or so making the spray pattern uneavenly distributed with less water and also changing the application rates. Having shorter duration irrigation would help my well recharge and maintain pressure during the irrigation.  Is there a way to minimize the duration or set a max duration irrigation setting for a group of zones so I don't continue sending water down the road? Ideally, having many shorter sets rather than one long set would be helpful, a cycle and soak approach. Thank you!

Whisperer and Rachio

I am a Rachio guy but love the sensors by Netro. I’m trying to figure out how to set my watering recommendations from Netro with Rachio. What I’m lacking is ability to set my zones up and amount of water flow from different head types. How can I do this with Netro?

Erroneous "smart" scheduling

I cannot "Edit" an existing schedule!? I wish I didn't have to delete my account and start the installation all over again!!!

And after putting the new schedule data, the programming went bezerk! I've capture the weirdest program that was injected by Netro, not me!

I've taken the snap shots of the wired vs good program off of my screen, but cannot share these images here!?

Customized watering feature, specifications

Kyle Giacomini
Updated at 2022-07-15 12:27:12 UTC
I would like to be able to customize the smart watering feature. Unfortunately, the application rate calculation for the sprinkler specifications seam to be incorrect. For example, I use hunter mp rotator rotary spray nozzles to irrigation a specific section of grass. They have a really low application rate at about 0.4 inches per hour. In comparison, I have another section of lawn where I use Rainbird RVan rotary sprays with an application rate closer to 0.68 inches an hour. Using the default settings for rotary sprays does not account for this range of application rates. When I use the customized mode smart zone function and I input the application rates for the sprinkler specifications, the calculation for duration increases to above 3000 minutes! Am I missing something? It would be incredibly helpful if I could be able to customize smart watering based on the application rates of my sprinklers.

Pixie water pressure

Chris
Updated at 2022-07-15 09:03:05 UTC
Hi - I recently installed a Smart Pixie faucet. Weirdly, my water pressure is ok when the faucet isn’t connected, however when I connect it, the water only drips out from the other end and so my plants get watered very little. Any ideas what the issue might be? Thanks

Waters excessively

I have a smart schedule enabled and it is watering excessively to the point of a $300 water bill. This doesn’t seem smart at all! I don’t know how to adjust the time frames on a smart schedule? It doesn’t appear to acknowledge the time frames that I have listed.

Netro connection to IFTTT

Updated at 2022-07-12 13:44:09 UTC

I have an irrigation system setup to a eWeLink. Trying to use IFTTT to automatically turn on the pump when my Netro Whisperer sensor tells me I need to water. It doesn't seem like IFTTT differentiates the different types of alerts Netro sends out.

Anyone had luck?

Smart watering settings

What are the smart watering settings for each variable that result in the least water used? For example, I assume fully shaded for amount of sunlight would result in the least water used for that variable.

Zone 6 - is always on when other zones are on

Laks
Updated at 2022-07-06 13:33:47 UTC

Hello

I recently got a handyman to install the 6 Zone Netro system. My home lawn has 6 zones.

When the watering schedule is on, the issue I have is that the sprinklers connected to Zone 6 always come on when any of the other zones are working.

So, if I have 2 minutes set for each zone : When Zone 1 sprinklers are on, Zone 6 sprinklers are also on. After that When Zone 2 sprinklers are on, Zone 6 sprinklets are also on.

Is this due to faulty wiring connections are something else in the software?

thank you

Hi

I am in Poulades, Greece, and the current rain prediction is 67% when reality is there is not a cloud in the sky. BBC predicts rain at 1%. The system wants to water every 3 days which ties up with tje incorrect 67% prediction
