Soil type?

Two ways that I know of to determine soil type.  First one is making a visual observation and trying to determine what you have by the way the soil acts, feels and forms.  Second option would be to take a simple soil test.  I've done this with my local university (Michigan state). Only costs $25 and they'll give you your soil type as well as soil nutrients.  I prefer the soil test because I'm a horrible at determining soil type.



Smart vs. manual program

I tried setting up the manual watering system and found it still watered when it rained.  It would be a great feature if it would stop watering even when manually programmed to stop watering when rain is in the forecast.

Fast and great support from Netro:

Netro runs the 2 user programs today. The reason why it still runs after heavy rain is that the rain setting is “previous day+rainy day”. Please change that setting in settings->preferences->rain and set it to “previous day+rainy day+next day”.

This should fix the issue.”

Sounds like a network issue. You might want to try rebooting your Netro controller and WiFi router.

Bei Hunter Ventilen brauchts idR AC. 

Mindestens 800 mA.

I second that - dark sky for San Francisco has been very inaccurate... for weeks it has been showing partly cloudy with 19% chance of rain even though it was mostly sunny/ today it is raining and it shows partly cloudy with 2% chance of rain ...

I imagine it might be average data from people around you that might have sensor. These depend on shade, slope other factors but likely the value is correct most of the time.

Did you try uninstalling the app and starting over from scratch? I changed my WiFi and had so many problems doing it I ended up just deleting the app and started over.

Hi Matt,


Sprite cannot determine that these zones are watering the same area. We suggest the settings and parameters of two zones be the same. Is there any overlapped area between your two zones?

Same issue here. 3 sensors.  One working fine but the others don’t register moisture or lux

You can try insert the sensor all the way down until the plastic base decoration touchs the soil (Look at the manuel for more detail). That's how I get my sensor start working.

I'm guessing that your Verizon goes offline due to a time limit or inactivity. You may be able to go into your settings and adjust whether that happens or not. I would also recommend not listing an address to which you are not going to be and don't know anybody close.........just sayin.

Have you tried to press and hold the button for I believe 8 seconds which is a hard reset?


Introducing the Referral Program

before adding such a “referral” program - how about answering questions in a timely matter here? 


My Netro is lagging and it’s honestly a pain working with it. If I water manually it will show in the app but won’t actually water. Also when starting the manual watering for all zones I’ll constantly get a network error. 


Once you got all your stuff working and happy customers, the referrals will take care of themselves. But right now I don’t feel confident of recommending this to anyone I know.
