Two zones on same spot

I'm not sure I understood your question clearly but I thought there is a 'soil type', shade, 'sprinkler head' types for each zone.  You just need to set the same setting for each zone and the watering will come out the same right?

Smart vs. manual program

Hi. I am new to this myself and have only had the system for about a month. I currently have only three zones and have set them up for daily morning watering. I have smart zones disabled in each zone.

Under Preferences / Settings - it has a Weather Conditions area.

Under Rain I have the Strategy set to Expectation,

The Threshold set to 5mm (I actually think I should reduce this to something like 2 or 3mm)

1) If Zone 1 irrigates area "A" and Zone 2 also irrigates area "A", then I would turn off Zone 2 and let just Zone 1 water Area "A".

2) Perhaps you might be describing Zone 1 and Zone 2 as in the same location but Zone 1 covers grass and Zone 2 covers trees and some grass.

In that case, you really have 2 areas.  Treat them as separate zones.

3) Perhaps you might have Zone 1 that irrigates Area "A" and Zone 2 irrigates Area "A" and Area "B".  This is what I have at my house.

In this case, there is no perfect way to solve the problem because the zone areas overlap.

What I did was dialed down Zone 1 and changed my heads in Zone 2 to not overlap all of Area "A".

I have an irregular shaped area on a slope with mostly clay soil and an irrigation company that wanted to save time and money on install.

The clay soil helps even out the irregular over/underwatering so my problem isn't too bad.

Hope this helps

If you have the Netro skill installed, enabled and linked to your Netro account, then you just have to say Alexa, ask Netro to water Zone 4 for 5 minutes”. If you forget to say which zone or how long, she will prompt you.

To the Netro community:

We are very excited to introduce our new product, Pixie, the WiFi-connected Hose Faucet Timer. We have spent almost a year designing and developing the smart timer and now it is ready to meet the users.

We believe Pixie is a great choice if you have water systems running through hose faucet. It is as smart as Sprite and can pair with Whisperer. It is solar powered and has a removable battery for quick charge. If you like the features in the Netro app, it has all the access to them.

For more information about Pixie, please email to info@netrohome.com or simply leave a message/comment below and we will send you a promotion code for the first 50 buyers.

Hi Ken,

Please go to Settings->Restrictions to add a restriction if you want to skip watering, you can select zones, months to restrict watering. However, currently Netro does not support create restrictions for a specific day in advance. I will forward your request to our R&D and will consider support this feature in the future release of the app.

Recharging whisperer in spring after winter shutdown

I've only had my system for two years, but I have 4 whisperers throughout the yard. I've only had to have one replaced, rma throu Netro. I just leave mine in the yard throughout the winter. This keeps them charged, for the most part, and they're ready to go for the following season come spring.

Although that I'm still hoping Netro will start understanding their appliance/app is only a smart part of a smart home ecosystem and start integrating with Home Assistant. Even huge vendors like Tuya, have understood that this is essential for most Home Automation Enthusiast.

For the time being, some folks have used the API to get some data to home assistant https://community.home-assistant.io/t/netro-integration/51012/13

I believe a lot of us are happy with the appliance, but aren't looking at it often enough. Result in my case at least that my whisperer was out for more than a month. This could have been avoided if we had an integration to Home Assistant who would have alerted me.

So please Netro, do the extra mile !

lol @ Netro

This user was asking about Home Assistant - not HomeKit. I too am looking for that integration which shouldn't be hard to do.
