Currently the app has a bug to prevent user add station ID from the app, it will be fixed soon in our next release. If you want to change Weather underground station ID, you can let us know. We will change for you.

Need Sprite to water less often

Dear customer,


EPA standard encourage longer water time and less water frequency, which will help growth of the roots. It will also break long water time to several small slots to prevent water runoff. If you think the smart schedules water too much , you can either change to different smart zone mode (ECO), or you can set up your own programs and set up your smart zone in basic level. How do I program to give my plants 50 gallons of water every other day?

Hi Ethan, 


Netro uses the area and depth flow rate(inch/hour) to calculate the water usage and the equation we use is 

Area(inch^2) x depth flow rate (inch/hour) x time (hour) = water usage(inch^3) 

To have 50 gallons every other day for your zone, you will first need to calculate the watering duration according to the equation and then adjust smart watering or create your own programs. 

 You can choose boost mode to increase the watering amount. You can also choose "customized" mode to adjust watering by providing the preferred moisture level and flow rate of your sprinklers. (you will see the estimated water time after adjusting the percentage)

Total reset

Dear customer, 


Please follow the steps to do a total reset. 

1.Power off the device(unplug the power adapter) 

2.Wait for 2 seconds, replug the power back in 

3.Wait for 3 minutes for the device to start up 

4.Press and hold the reset button for 8 seconds to do a hard reset 

5.Wait for 3 minutes. This should set the light to slow blinking. 

Then you can go to the Netro app -> settings-> controller -> change wifi network/password.

Why gap in smart schedule?

Netro's algorithm encourages longer water time and less water frequency, which will help growth of the roots. It will also break long water time to several small slots to prevent water runoff.


Some zones are watered multiple times a day, you probably selected clay, clay loam or loam as the soil type which accepts water slowly, often as little as 1/4 inch per hour and that is why we break the watering into many pieces to avoid water runoff.

Not adhering to custom smart schedule

Hi Ethan,

 

Netro algorithm works like "If moisture level drops below the lower bound without any watering today, Netro will add water". Today is over 50% at the beginning of today so no watering scheduled today. The moisture may drop to below 50% because of high evaporation. In such case, Netro will add watering schedules.

How to remove rain delay

Hi Gyanendra,

To cancel a rain delay, you can go to the schedule page, select the date with grey dot and there will pop up the restriction,  please select the restriction and it will show option to cancel. 
Rain delay is to forbidden watering in the next following days after rain and it is one-time setting. If you want to save the settings, please go to settings->preferences -> rain -> days to skip.

Hi Valeria,


The yellow check mark means the server did not receive signal when the schedules are executed.  All your schedules will be pre-downloaded on the local and updated every day. When the unit finish execute a schedule on the local, it will send signal to the cloud and the green check mark means the server receive the signal. However, when there is internet glitch, the server cannot receive the signal and will have yellow check mark.   


Could you please have someone to do a instant manual run? If you instant manual run without issue, please do not worry about the yellow check mark.
