Rescheduling smart watering cycle

Hi Bob, 


Do you want to clear all the smart watering schedules and generate a new watering schedule? If so, you will need to do a  hard reset. Netro will adjust smart watering schedules if there's any change in your zone settings. For example, change the soil type and sprinler type.

Did you try other command e.g. "OK Google, start watering"?  "OK Google, talk to Netro Home". Could your provide us more details. If you are using the Google Home APP, does it work if you click the start button? If you using voice command, any feedback or error messages?

On the schedule page, you could find the reason of no watering. There are two reasons: 1. skip by sensor moisture, which is set to skip program is moisture is larger than 80% (settings->sensor->water adjustment). 2. skip by weather forecast. The setting is in setting->rain, you have set the threshold to be 0.2 and set the skip days as "Previous day" and "rainy day". According to your setting, Netro skips programs on 17th. You could update your setting if you want.

Please go to Settings->Zones->Smart Zone and toggle the enable button. When the smart zone is disabled, the system will strictly follow the user program to water the zones. Dear customer,


Yes, for Spark you can setup a local backup program stored on-device which is nonvolatile. The backup program does not depend on the cloud server and will always run. 


For Sprite, it only stores 32 watering schedule pre-calculated in the cloud.

Smart watering with an irrigation pump

Yes, the pump does not turn off between two continuous watering schedules. For example:


Zone 1: 8:00 -> 8:10

Zone 2: 8:10 -> 8:20


However, the pump turns off for the gap between two noncontinuous watering schedules. For example:


Zone 1: 8:00 -> 8:10

Zone 2: 8:15 -> 8:20


Why such erratic scheduling when using smart watering?

Dear customer, 


For smart schedules, your zones will be watered automatically by Netro with smart schedules. Netro's algorithm allows the moisture level to deplete to a low level (recommended by EPA) before next watering, as your different zones have different settings and different moisture levels, the watering will not be on the same day or in order. 

For example, if the moisture level for zone 1,2 is low at 50% today, for zone 5, 6, 7 at 70% today, Netro will water zone 1-2 today and water 5,6,7 in the following days. Some zones are watered multiple times a day, you probably selected clay, clay loam or loam as the soil type which accepts water slowly, often as little as 1/4 inch per hour and that is why we break the watering into many pieces to avoid water runoff. 


If you think the watering frequency is too high for your zones, you can go to Settings->zones->specific zone number->smart zone-enabled->Mode to choose your preferred mode.

Hi Alfonso, 

As your zones are attached to the same sensor, Netro's smart schedules should be almost identical for all zones. It's different now because you had manually water the two zones before with different time, so each zone have different estimated moisture level and different smart schedules. If you check the smart schedules in the following days, the smart watering duration should be almost the same.

Change sensor zone?

Dear customer,


You can currently keep your defective timer and we can help you remove your sensor to your new replacement timer when your replacement arrives. Then we can delete the defective timer for you. In this way you do not need to re-adding it back to your wifi network.

Whisperer won't blink white during setup

Hi Kevin,


You sensor might be completely out of power. Please place the sensor under direct sunlight for another 3~5 days to see if it works. Then press the power button agian, it will flash in white color. Also, do you have an incandescent lamp at home? If so, you can try to put the sensor under the incandescent lamp for 24-48 hours and it may come back to work.
