Hi Robert,

Some zones are watered multiple times a day, you probably selected clay, clay loam or loam as the soil type which accepts water slowly, often as little as 1/4 inch per hour and that is why we break the watering into many pieces to avoid water runoff.

If you think the smart schedules water too much , you can either change to different smart zone mode (ECO), or you can set up your own programs and set up your smart zone in basic level. Please check this article for more info. https://netrohome.com/forum/posts/111

If you see "next run not scheduled", you controller is in standby mode and please tap the "enable" button to enable your device in the home page.

Rain restriction

Updated at 2022-06-14 06:25:55 UTC

Hi Geron,

We checked the rain data on the Discover page and the rain amount is less than 0.1 inch (your threshold) so Netro did not skip the watering schedules. What happened yesterday was that the weather forecast said there was going to be a small rain but it turns out to be a big one.

You can adjust the rain data through Discover page->"+" button on the upper right corner-> Correct rainfall. I will work with the developer to check if the weather provider has general accuracy issue in your area or it was just an exception.

Netro support three weather providers, which you can choose in settings->controller->weather provider. You can switch to other weather providers to see if it works better. Of course, all weather forecast could be wrong. Netro tries the best to provide accurate watering schedule even with incorrect forecast. First, we periodically update the weather data, once the weather data is changed, we update the un-executed schedules ASAP. Second, we re-check the weather data for the past, update our model, and adjust following schedules accordingly. For example, Netro may not water today due to large rainfall from forecast data. The next day, Netro re-check the weather data, if no rainfall found and your soil is dry enough, Netro will water accordingly.

Dear customer,

Currently the LED light on Netro Sprite cannot be turned off, which is an important device status indicator.  As a workaround, you may have a dark tape to cover it.

Hi Sid,

If there is no light when you press the button, the sensor is completely out of battery. We suggest you continue leave the sensors under direct sunlight for several more days to charge. If the weather not good, it may takes longer time.

If you have incandescent bulb light at home, you can also charge it under your incandescent light, make sure the light bulb is close to the solar panel.

It takes some time for our R&D to look into the questions and check the user account. We have replied to the posted questions now. You can also directly send us email to support@netrohome.com with your Netro account registered email.

Hi Jason,

As there is expected rainfall so Netro estimated the current moisture level is not dry enough. If the weather data is not correct, you can try other weather providers in setting->weather providers.

Could you please send us email to support@netrohome.com with your Netro account registered email?

We will have our technician look into this issue.

Hi Jeff,

You can go to your schedule page, the date with gray dot beneath is the date with restriction/weather skip. If you want to view the certain restrictions caused by moisture threshold, you can tap the icon on the upper left corner of the schedule page, scroll to select "Moisture" and view it.

Hi Dick,

When Sprite finishes running a watering schedule, it will send a confirmation to the cloud server. In this way, the could server knows whether the schedules are correctly executed or not.

The exclamation mark means the cloud server did not receive the confirmation from the device. There are two possible causes:

1. the device is not powered up when it was supposed to be powered up to run that schedule. Therefore, the corresponding zone is not watered (what is why we use the exclamation to alert users)

2. the schedule run fine but it was during a temporary network outage or exception so that the confirmation cannot be delivered to the server. Wireless connection can be unstable for a short peroid time so it is not uncommon to have a glitch in the communication.

If the schedules afterwards are all correctly run, it could just be a temporary network issues. But if that happens a lot please check the WiFi signal strength. If you use a WiFi extender, please make sure it is connected to the main router stably.

Thanks,

Wency

What is the exclamation mark on schedule?

Hi Simon,

For the smart watering ,we checked for your zone "Raised Bed" and you selected dripper/emitter for your zones, this is why the zones have longer watering duration than other zones as dripping/emitter system is really slow in moving watering to the ground.

EPA standard encourage longer water time and less water frequency, which will help growth of the roots. It will also break long water time to several small slots to prevent water runoff. If you think the smart schedules water too much , you can change to different smart zone mode (ECO).

Netro will send notification when the system is offline more than 24 hours. But you need to enable Netro App notification in your smart phone settings.

Reset rain delay to 0 (null)

Updated at 2022-06-07 05:26:49 UTC

Hi Bruce,

To cancel reain delay, you can go to your schedule tab. The date with gray dot beneath is the date with restriction/weather skip. You can select the date, and tap on the sepeicific restirction, it will pop up option for you to cancel.

Please note that rain delay is just one-time setting. It's mainly used when it's raining but the weather forecast data is incorrect, so you can tell Netro that I don't want watering in the next n days. If the weather data is correct, Netro will not water while raining. You should  set in settings->preferences -> rain -> days to skip, if you want to set it for all rainy days.

Why is there no on/off

Updated at 2022-06-07 05:22:28 UTC

Hi Eric,

For Netro Pixie timer, if you want to manually turn on/off the water, please find the info below:

From the app: Go to the home screen. Find the white area, and then tap on the time. This allows you to change the watering duration. After that, you hit play to start a manual run. When the timer is sleeping, the manual run will start when the timer wakes up.

From the timer: Press the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the timer. If the timer is already on, skip this step. Wait for 30 seconds. The LED light will become green (WiFi connected) or red (WiFi unconnected). If the LED light flashes in red and turns off shortly, the battery needs to be charged. Press the button twice quickly to turn on the water. To turn off the water, quickly press the button twice again

Thanks,
