Hi Maureen,


You can choose "customized" mode to adjust watering by providing the preferred moisture level and flow rate of your sprinklers. Please go settings->zones->specific zone number->smart zone-enabled->Mode. The manul run button is in the home page, below the Netro logo, there is task bar "online", "battery percentage", "manual run", "rain delay".

Hi Luis,


It is possible that the timer was shipped by airplanes and the shipping company may have demagnetize the internal valve. Manually turning on and off the valve (quickly press the button twice) for about 10 times can fix this issue.

Dear customer,


The previous default provider Darksky stopped its service so we have switched to another provider. Netro sever side gets and updates weather information every early morning at 4 am. It will get the new weather informations and recalculate later. 


If the default weather provider doesn't work for you, you could try other weather source in settings->controller->weather provider.

Smart Zone over watering

Hi Scott,

Netro's algorithm is based on expert gardening knowledge, one of which is to avoid watering equally everyday and instead to water less frequently but deeply. Netro waters your garden only when the soil is dry enough in order to draw more oxygen into the roots, leading to a lusher landscape. By default, we allow the moisture level to deplete to a low level (recommended by EPA) before next watering and that is why you might see longer watering duration than the original settings on your old controller.

To reduce watering, you can choose "eco" mode through settings->zones->specific zone number->smart zone-enabled->Mode.

To run every zone every hour for 5 minutes, you will have to create multiple programs. We recommend you to choose  "new plant" mode through settings->zones->specific zone number->smart zone-enabled->Mode.

It is probably the sensor is out of battery so it does not report data. Please leave the sensor under sunlight for 3~5 days to check if it works.

Lose connection

Sometimes if the device restart quicker than router, it may not be able to reconnect to the router immediately. But after 1 day (24 hours), it will restart again and reconnec to your router. If not,  please send us email to support@netrohome.com with your Netro account registered email? We will have our technician look into this issue.

Hi Simone,


Could you please check your unit LED light status?

Is the light fast blink, slow blink,  solid light or no light at all?
Please try power cycle the unit first, unplug, wait for two seconds, plug it back, wait for about 2 minutes, see what the unit LED light status.

If the unit is in slow blink, please try reconnect your unit to your home wifi through settings>controller->change wifi network/password.
If the unit is in quick blink, please try below steps to do a reset, then reconnect it to your home wifi:

1.Power off the device(unplug the power adapter)
2.Wait for 2 seconds, replug the power back in
3.Wait for 3 minutes for the device to start up
4.Press the reset button for less than 1 seconds to do a soft reset (use a pin insert to the RST hole button)
5.Wait for 5 seconds. This should set the light to slow blinking.
Then you can go to the Netro app -> settings-> controller -> change wifi network/password.

Please let us know if it works.

Manual run not available in version 3.0.1

Please select "manual run" to start watering for each zone. We are still improving the manual run feature and the final version should be almost like the previous one.
