Hi Judith,


It is possible that the timer was shipped by airplanes and the shipping company may have demagnetize the internal valve. Manually turning on and off the valve (quickly press the button twice) for about 10 times can fix this issue.

Dear customer,


1.If there is no wifi when Netro is watering, Netro will still finish all watering schedules as long as there is power. Netro will send notification when the system is offline more than 24 hours.


2. Usually devices will automatically reconnect to the server immediately after power outage. Netro Spark controller has a backup program to run if it goes offline. Netro Sprite controller does not have the backup program.


3.The Whisperer sensor is sold separately and it is only available on our own website https://netrohome.com

Dear Vanina,


Please check the wires. Are they loose or disconnected from the slots? Please also check the common wires and the master valve if you have one. If you believe the wires are correctly installed,  please check if there is a main valve/faucet that is turned off manually. 

To test if the controller is working properly, use a multimeter (AC voltage mode) to test the voltage between the common wire and the zone wire when the zone is active. Normally the voltage should be between 24V and 28V.

You might also want to check whether there are shorted zones or open zones. You just need to use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the common wire and each zone (remove the wires from the slots before testing the resistance). The normal reading would be 20-60 Ohms. If the reading is less than 10 Ohms then you might have a shorted circuit in the solenoid and if it is larger than 80 Ohms you might have an open circuit.

Dear Quim,


The red flash means the unit has less than 10% power. The winter sunlight may not be very strong. 


Could you please place the sensor under the sunlight for another 2-3 days to charge it up? Also, Do you have an incandescent lamp at home? If so, you can try to put the sensor under the incandescent lamp for 24-48 hours and it may come back to work.

Adding a Whisperer to more than one zone

Netro allows one sensor to monitor up to 3 zones and you need to make sure the zones have similar environmental conditions. Please go to Settings->Sensors, select a sensor, go to Zones and select the zones you would like to monitor.
